Yogawoman expert Patricia Walden, is a widely respected yoga teacher who has been teaching Iyengar yoga for over 25 years.
Yoga is so important for women going through menopause. I think if you don't do anything for your body through menopause, you can really start to feel melancholy or even depressed because you feel that your body is getting older. By doing yoga you build optimism and you see that there is a way of keeping that freedom in your joints that you have in your forties, your thirties, and your twenties. I like to think doing yoga is like motor oil for the joints.
